Ministry Position

Dear Friend,

Welcome to this website of Lyall Memorial Federated Church and information on our offering of the position of Minister.  We are pleased that you are interested in reviewing information about this challenging and interesting position. The information that follows includes a complete position description, the desired qualifications and the process for applying.

The Lyall Memorial Federated Church, a relatively small church located in Millbrook, NY, was originally established in 1926.  Largely serving a multi-denominational Christian community, the original federation included Quaker, Methodist and Dutch Reformed and has been consistently led by a Presbyterian minister.  We serve a predominantly affluent rural area in the heart of Dutchess County amidst eight other churches within a 5 mile radius and draw an average of 75-100 attendees per week by a combination of relevant Biblical preaching, formal liturgical worship, a beautiful and varied music program, dynamic and active programs for children and youth, and an open community outreach program.  Please review other parts of our website for more information about the community, the history and vision of the church as well as its mission, and our many other programs.

Thanks for your interest in this church and its minister position. Should you choose to apply, please see “How to Apply.”  We will keep you informed throughout the search process as to the status of your candidacy, and your materials will be kept confidential.

Sincerely,

Jan K. Miller
